Do you continue to drink raw milk during pregnancy?

Hi everyone, I'm kind of new here and mostly a lurker so far, so I apologize if this has already been discussed. I was just curious if mamas here who typically consume raw milk products continue to do so throughout pregnancy. I buy my milk and cheese from local farm that I'm very confident in, so I have been continuing to eat them so far during my pregnancy (I'm about 20 wks now). My husband just noticed the label they put on the milk about fetal death, etc and is now all concerned about it. Anyway, I was just wondering if I'm being too lax about it, and wanted to check in to see if I'm the only crazy one not super concerned about raw milk products during pregnancy.

Oops just found a very similar thread from earlier this month.

But of course I'd welcome more thoughts if anyone else has something to add on the subject!

I wouldn't drink raw milk that I found at a market during pregnancy, although I might otherwise (here in Philly you can get it brought into the city at markets.)

I kept drinking the milk that I bought right at the farm during my last pregnancy, and would do it again if I could. The stuff had been in the cow as of 3am that day. The herds are tested regularly for assorted pathogens, and always pass with flying colors. They immediately chill the milk... I think the original product and the path it takes to get to me is much safer than commerical, past milk.

When we bought direct off the farm I did with baby #4. We've since bought a cow from them and with babies #5 and #6 I am drinking it.

I felt comfortable because I could see the cleaning process, how they handled the milk etc.

This is like the dairy we go to! The oldest the milk is sold is from the day before (they drink it as well and make cheese, butter, etc...)

You should always be allowed to view their safety check results (and they should be checked frequently) and feel free to ask to watch their milking and bottling practices. We've seen our dairy's practices and they are VERY good about being clean. They wash the cow, everything that touches the cow/milk is sterile, and they even use non-latex gloves in case someone has a latex allergy.

I chose not to because it was giving me more anxiety than it was worth, even understanding exactly how low the risk was.

Yes I do. As long as your confident in your farm I don't see why you wouldn't
