HI, everyone. Quick post from the Super 8 outside of a tiny town in the middle of KS. UGH. We had a 10-hour drive today, but we are sharing a rental minivan with DP's parents, and so I slept, graded papers, and generally zoned out in the back, so it wasn't bad.
Sara: You bet--Thanksgiving should be a lesbian holiday!
Starling: Your DD is so sweet! My DD went through a quick phase when she was little when she nursed all her stuffed animals. How adorable! I understand growly. I snapped hard at DD in the car when she was being impatient about getting her DVD player set up. DP gave me a look of shock and concern--jeez! That's when I went to sleep. You asked how I'm feeling. Although I might like to think that the crankiness and sleepiness are pregnancy, it is probably just me. The only pregnancy sign I have is achy bbs, but I had that (to a lesser extent) during non-pg cycles when I was on progesterone supplements.
Krista: How is that possible?!
Max: Glad DP will be home tomorrow--hope the trip isn't too hard on him.
AFM: Well, my friend who I wrote about yesterday (and about whom several of you wrote really supportive, thoughtful messages--thanks) thought that my testing day was today, so when she wasn't answering my calls, she had no idea that I was trying to tell her I was pg. She called today and was incredibly happy and enthusiastic for me. I have no idea how she has the generosity to feel that way (I wouldn't -- I'm sure of it), but she was so great. And we also talked about her process, which she is finally finding some peace with. She isn't giving up yet. Her clinic will be closed in Dec and Jan, so she'll have to wait, but she's planning to get back at it in Feb. I'm hoping and praying that she gets knocked up naturally--and miraculously--before then.
Oh-and my repeat beta was 148! That's a doubling time of around 18 hours. I think they like it to be no more than around 24 hours doubling time. I'm not sure, but the nurse who left the message was happy and reassuring, so I'm happy and reassured.
