We just got our first birthparent call!?!??!?!?

Ok, I know we're probably going to go through several of these calls but dude, our profile packet isn't even done yet. I haven't even read the cheat sheet of "what to say" during a call. I felt very unprepared. DH said I did a good job.

Not sure what to think. I have no idea if this is a potential match or not. I just don't know. She wants to meet us on Wednesday. Wowzers!

I'm not sure what to think or even how much to think but it is late and I was about to go to bed and now I'm wide awake.

I've emailed our adoption counselor so I'm sure we'll talk tomorrow.

So I believe we've had our first scammer.

Talked with our counselor this morning. Apparently there is a person who uses this first name in the area she said she was in who does this then tries to get the adoptive parents to take her grocery shopping.

So I called her back, had to leave a message, but said, "we'd like you to talk to our adoption counselor first before we proceed." We'll see if she calls me back or not.

Our counselor heard back from the other one who confirmed that the last name is the same one she has used in the past.

But hey, our ad is being seen!
