CD1.

I'm kind of lurking right now rather than posting... just don't have my head in the game. Forgot to temp this morning when I got up, even though I was getting up early for bloodwork & an ultrasound! One follie almost 13mm, everything else under 10mm. I suspected this at just CD 12, I O'd with a trigger at CD 20 last cycle.

Pretty miserable right now and trying not to infect everyone. Just a lot going on-- freezing out, construction in our house (and therefore walls down and windows open and more cold air and dust and blech), serious skin breakout, tired, still grieving, still not pregnant, kids tough at work... just a lot. And in a few days I'll probably be cheery and friendy again.

Sorry for all of you with dropping temps, spotting, and CD 1.

Hi, Maurine and Miriam (and any other lurkers!) I've been following both of your stories and have my fingers crossed for you both. Miriam, i'm sorry things are so hard for you right now. that sounds really rough.

Kyjamo (i'm just joking) I remember you too. hi there!

MahnaMahna, i'm sorry. Are you doing ok? CD1 is such a hard day.

thanks for the thoughts on soy. I think i'll give it a try this month. Apricot, if you have thoughts on it, i'd love to hear them.

And Tear, if you're out there lurking, i'm thinking of you (i'm sure we all are) and sending you lots of good vibes. hope you can feel them.

True CD1 today.
I'm calling the RE for an appointment. Onto cycle 25.

About soy - I know very little, just that the standard thought is that the isoflavones are estrogen-analogs, ie, they trigger some estrogen receptors but not all. Most women with trouble conceiving are not going to be helped by extra estrogen, but some might. Typically, if you need estrogen, you're going to need a bunch of other supports, b/c there is some serious stuff going on. Although, I see where it could help nursing mamas, since they are running in a low estrogen environment, without other problems.

And Hugs to you to Apricot this whole thing sucks. Will you do something for yourself as well, please?

And soy... well, I just cut it OUT of my diet, partly for ttc and partly for my thyroid. There are so many estrogens (phytoestrogens in soy, estrogen mimic (like BPA) enter our food via plastic) I just don't think lack of estrogen is my problem...

So, I have a massive head ache. DD, who should be able to sleep at 3 1/2, was up A LOT last night. And I was so sad, 'cause another friend announced her unexpected 3rd pregnancy (at age 40, fyi) at a time I was already having a hard time. I am stressed at work, and might get laid off. DH can't decide if we (meaning me) should take the clomid. Gah! Where is my hot tub, wine and cozy cave?

Sorry you are all feeling down, MBA, Maurine, and Jenger. And, Apricot and Mahnamahna on CD1.

I am sick, and hating work right now. My boss is a jerk, and has been on a real rampage lately. I am happy to be in the tww though, since it is my first since my m/c. Oh, and Starbucks (which is the only coffee shop on campus), now has eggnog lattes, which brightened my day a little.

Thanks for all the love guys! IVF hormones make me feel pretty icky. Clomid or femara didn't even come close! It's mostly about the mood swings. I'm up one second, down and depressed the next. Even today, I felt like I had a good u/s and was all cheerful, and then when I spoke to the nurse, her tone made me all depressed again. Bah humbug, world!

Yes, indeedy! I drove through Sbux last night b/c I had a feeling the holiday drinks would be in soon, and sure enough, they had gotten in their gingerbread syrup that day. I seriously clapped and squealed out loud.

For some reason MDC didn't send my e-mail updates on new posts today. I missed you guys! to all

Hey, and your conception chances are increased in a post-m/c cycle, so here's hoping this is your last TWW for quite a while!

Hang in there, lady! With any luck, this will all be over soon... and you can get going with those pregnancy mood swings

Thanks to everyone who gave me some support and kind words today. I'm fine, just overwhelmed. Ready to be done with this process. At least if I distance myself from it as much as possible, it might not hurt so much if it doesn't work. again.

Hey.... I know I'm not part of this thread (not sure if I really qualify... )
... but just wanted to send hugs to Miriam (cos I remember you joining last January, just after my first early mc!)... I wish I had words... but please know that I think about all you ladies a lot... but particularly Miriam, BelovedK and Tear78 because we were on the boards together for quite a while, before I left.

I wish I could wave my conductor's baton (well, it's the closest thing I've got to a magic wand!!!) and give you all the gift you all so deserve.

I'm still here, not really trying, not avoiding. I've had plenty of good timing, but I just think it is never going to happen for me (I'm too old now anyway ) I have a special place in my heart for the BSLs, especially the ones you mentioned (plus enigo) Once they graduate, I will probably go on my way I lurk (esp during my 2ww if there is a chance.

I you all

CLH... CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I got a "positive" opk today. Well, as positive as they come for me. I have so far never got a test where the line is as strong as the control line. Yet, the blood test claims my LH is ok, so who knows. It has never been tested around ovulation, anyway.

I have decided that this is enough... no more obsessiveness. We will keep TTC, probably for the rest of my fertile years. However, I don't really even need the OPK's as things are pretty regular and even my crappy mucus is indication enough. At some point I think I will stop testing altogether. I am sure I would realize if I was pregnant, sooner or later, even without a test. Ha.

I am feeling really happy about maca right now. I just started to take it a couple of days ago and it makes me feel good. (Could use some help with my libido... just like the rest of my fertility, it somehow never really came back after nursing.) So... The plan from now on is to live better... fewer stimulants (including the computer). I will also not obsess about the trip to the U.S. in the summer. If there is no BFP by then, I will reassess whether I think I can go. I refuse to spend months feeling bad about the trip.

So, that's it for me. I will read and post... but not obsessively...

CLH - CONGRATULATIONS!!

Mahnamahna and Apricot, sorry about CD1.

Miriam, sorry you're feeling down. At least for me, with every cycle that passes I am less obsessive about symptoms (as every time I let them convince me it is always wrong), but if anything, I am MORE hurt when I know I am out for sure for that cycle.

LessTraveledBy - I hope that decision brings you peace.

AFM - 2DPO. Not obsessing at all, its too early yet.

ETA: Oh, and JJJJJjjjjjJJJJJJ! Works for now anyways, but since this is not the first time this has happened, I bet it's not the last. It's a fairly new keyboard, maybe a year or so old. The J stops working randomly, so I disassemble it and reassemble it, then the J works, then randomly it happens again a few days or a few months later.

CLH_X3!!! Woooohoooo! What's your due date? Please bring me along with you to a DDC.

So, my chart is no longer so triphasic-looking. I guess those 3 higher temps were just from the time shift. Ignoring those days, my temps are still sloping slightly upward. Who knows. I did wake up drenched in sweat this morning, and I've been hot today. Also feeling a little achy, but that could be anything. Just a few days to go. And I've already convinced myself I'm pregnant. Yet again.
