1st cycle on Vitex..

as background, I got my 1st ppaf in April - my son was 20 months old. I am still nursing ~3 times/per day (my son is 25 months). I started Vitex this month to try to get my cycles normalized. Last month I tried taking BComplex all cycle to get my LP issue fixed and I O-ed on like day 28 of a 40 day cycle. I stopped the BComplex and will try to just take it after O. My question is...is sticky CM common on Vitex? I've never experienced something so ... noticeable? I am on cycle day 15. I also use CBEFM and it says I am at a medium...

For those of you who recently have started to have AF again, would you care to share a bit of what you experienced beforehand?

I have thought that I'm preggers these past two weeks b/c of all of the things I've been experiencing and just trying to rememeber what it was like the last time around!

It is very pronounced this time that I feel like I need to "check" b/c I feel like I'm bleeding but then I do and there's nothing there. There's lots more but I'd really like to hear from you all!

Yes, yes, I'm really curious about this too. I keep having days of being crampy or days of having break-outs and some random nausea. .. anyway, it's kind of driving me crazy to keep wondering if I'm preg (very unlikely) or AF is returning or what. I wonder how long this can go on without actually getting my first PPAF?

sraplayas and kismetbaby - I don't remember how long those waiting for PPAF symptoms went on, but I know I had them a lot and often thought I must be pregnant, but never was. I hope you are able to catch that first egg (or the egg that you want to catch, lol).

AFM - Just waiting to test. 2 more days. I think I'm going to make it to Wednesday, but oh it's tough!

I'm back. I miscarried at 5w4d. We are currently debating whether to wait to TTCA or whether to jump right back in. I suppose you could put me under waiting to ovulate.

13 months PP here and no sign that I have ovulated yet. But my LO still night nurses and hardly ever goes more than 3 or 4 hours without "na-nas".

i have a dr's appointment tomorrow at 10:20 am(not with the rude midwife) for hearing good news. I still feel pregnant, i'm not cramping at all, just bleeding on and off and have been since i started the progesterone, The 10th it will mark a month of bleeding on and off

I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, zwitterion. I also had a recent miscarriage. We decided to try again right away because I heard that the hormones in your body make it more likely to conceive again right after a miscarriage. I also felt emotionally ready, having waited a long time for my missed miscarriage to come and going through it naturally. In my case though, it was incomplete so even though this all happened back in May/June I'm only just starting my third cycle since my miscarriage finally completed.

Have you stopped bleeding?

zwitterion - 2 I'm sorry for your loss.

AFM - I couldn't wait so I took a FRER ("Get Results 6 Days Before Your Missed Period" ugh, how's that for temptation!!). I'm 9 dpo today and got this shiny BFP. I'm thrilled, but very cautious. I'm taking progesterone now, and I just know my levels are low still so I pray that this is a super sticky bean.

That's great, tourist! Congratulations. That's a nice early start to a month hopefully full of successes. How does it work when you take progesterone? How long do you have to take it? Are you taking it because you know that you tend to have low levels?

Thanks sarahmck! Well, I was prescribed the progesterone because of a super short LP (6-8 days on average) along with lots of spotting. The cycle before this one (while still TTA) I got a 10 day LP, but day 10 was with tons of spotting, and lots of spotting for days before, so I didn't want to chance anything this month. Anyway, I take progesterone for 10 days once ovulation is confirmed. I don't know what I do now though. I doubt I just stop progesterone, I'm guessing they'll put me on prometrium through my first trimester. I have a call into my OB to find out.
