LOL, no i don't mind. wow, i just noticed that since i reported my BFP on FF, it doesn't show the intercourse timing thing anymore. actually i think we got lucky, cuz we DTD 4 days before O, skipped 3 days, then again the same day I O'd.  i'd say shoot for every 3rd day if that's more realistic for you, i totally understand trying to find good timing, we have a 2 1/2 yr old 7 DH had been working swing shift.

Congats Mohawk Mama!

Sunday Check-In

Name: Gale

Date: November 15

Chart:  No charting this month

Where are you in your cycle: CD 32

Appointments: Calling the RE to schedule our IUI consult this week.

Symptoms: Absolutely none.

Testing: Not gonna do it.

Thoughts:  Every month I think, "this HAS to be my month.  I can't do another cycle, I just can't".  Every month I'm sorely disappointed.  I'm about to end month 16 of trying and have nothing to show for it but a whole bunch of charts that look so good on paper and more often than not, have LPs of 18+ days.  I'm 18 dpo today and have had spotting on and off all day.  No cramps, no obvious start of my period, but a whole lot of disappointment.  I can't believe we're to the point where, as I tell my hubby, we're going to let the doctor knock me up.  I'm just so disappointed today.

CONGRATS MOHAWK MAMA!!!!!!!   That is so exciting!  I'm glad that you guys finally did it.  H&H 9 months to you!!

And hug.gif to Gale, I hope things turn around soon.

This month is a bust, I'm sure.  My sister had a psychotic break yesterday, so I had to jump on the first bus out of NYC and head back to Baltimore for the week to ATTEMPT to keep the rest of my family's heads above water.  And of course, it's the week that I will O.  *Sigh*  It's been a rough few days.

I hope we get a few more of those BFP's this month.  These BFN's have been killing me.  Maybe Mohawk Mama started a trend!!!  thumb.gif

GaleTX - have you tried acupuncture? I just finished reading this book:

http://www.amazon.com/Infertility-Cure-Ancient-Wellness-Pregnant/dp/0316172294

and now I am even more convinced that acupuncture can be a BIG help in getting pregnant!

I started acupuncture when we hit the one year mark and stopped when I started working (my work schedule is too chaotic to have regular appointments for acupuncture).  I do think it helped with the amount/quality of bleeding with AF, but no pregnancy.  I just have no clue what to do other than moving forward with the IUI.  All the lab work has been 100% normal, dh's SA was normal, my HSG showed clear tubes.....we are just not getting pregnant for whatever reason (or, as my gyn suggested because of my long lp, we're getting pregnant, it's just not sticking). DD was conceived the first month I stopped taking bc - two months after we got married, with no real "plan" to have a baby.

Monday Check-In

Name: Amanda

Date: November 15

Chart:  BFPChart2.gif

Where are you in your cycle: CD 1

Appointments: none

Symptoms: no pregnancy symptoms

Testing: tested yesterday afternoon and got the faintest line possible - most people would have said BFN immediately and trashed it

Thoughts: I'm trying to convince myself that the two faint, faint BFPs (Friday morning and Sunday afternoon) were actual BFNs. I think maybe I want a baby so bad my body made low levels of hcg or something. Was extremely moody yesterday, and sure enough, bleeding commenced this morning. Like amandasemele, I'm trying to focus on the blessings in my life instead of dwelling on this process and how hard it is. Like, - hey, I can drink as much caffeine as I want this week. Or, yay! my mom won me tickets to Elton John last Saturday night and it was amazing. And of course my family. Hugs to you all. (PS - GaleTX, I think I recognize you from a different forum.)

A nursing forum. Are you on one?

I'm on allnurses, but it's probably been at least a year since I've posted anything.  Good eye!  You're a nurse as well?

Yep, that's where I meant. I don't get on there much myself, and usually it's just to search topics not to hang-out. I'm a nursing student - I graduate in about a month. I think your name stuck in my mind mostly b/c of the TX (I'm from DFW living in Tyler). I'm pretty sure you may have answered some of my questions at one point or another.

Monday Check-In

Name: Kara

Date: November 15

Chart: Not currently charting

Where are you in your cycle: CD 8

Appointments: none

Symptoms: none

Testing: Will be testing the beginning of December

Thoughts: I am glad AF has passed this month and I am ready to start trying. I am really hoping this will be my last visit from AF for a while :) I know I shouldn't get my hopes up of conceiving our first month of trying but I just can't help it!

If I could ask, how often does everyone else BD? I am planning on everyday, even when I don't believe I am ovulating just so there is no chance we miss that egg! Do you guys think this is over kill? Hope everyone is having a good month!

Awesome!  I used the site when I was in school when I got stuck on care plans, etc.  I'm in the San Antonio area and finished school in August.  I'm working on a specialty surgical floor as part of a residency program, but the plan is to get to L&D and eventually get my CNM.  What are your plans?  It's such a small world!
