Where do you keep your safety net/living expenses (what type of account?) - Page 2

3/4 of my emergency fund is in ING, 1/4 in my checking account. My goal is to bulk up the ING so that it's the full amount of a six-month EF for my family, and then the checking account money is just pure cushion and I don't feel guilty or anxious if I dip into it for a vacation or large purchase, just as long as I build it back up.

I'm with ING as well.  Have been for years! Their customer service rocks.
