I have been sick for 3.5 weeks. I had bronchitis for a couple weeks, did not go to the dr, just treated at home. My asthma always makes it harder to kick. Then started getting better but never really lost the stuffiness and still had a slight wheeze and my niece came over and she was sick...a few days later and I had a slight sore throat, head full of crud and just felt icky again. Started feeling slightly better and my nephew is here after school, goes home and the next morning my brother calls to tell me he has pink eye. So, Saturday night late I start having a really bad sore throat and ear ache, my sinuses are extremely full and had been feeling for a few days like I had a sinus infection. Sunday morning I get up and am miserable...I notice mid morning that I am starting to get pink eye.
At this point I feel like so stinking miserable and tired of being sick that I go to urgent care to get abx for the sinus infection and the tightness in my chest.
I leave with Z-pac and abx for my eyes because it is bacterial for sure.
I did not sleep hardly at all last night, and I know that is a side effect, but tonight I notice that the cartilage in my nose feels sore, like my baby head butted me...so I feel around on it and it actually feels slightly swollen.
Could that be a reaction to the Z-pac too? I'm starting to wonder if the increased sore throat is from that as well. I am always so paranoid taking abx because I hardly ever do and I hear such awful stories about side effects...but my nose just feels funny.
Has anyone experienced anything funny on z-pac?
