Non-vaccine friendly Ped in Chicago?

Hi there,

Our 4 year old is not vaxed. We still may get some but I need to find a pediatrician in Chicago that's not going to make us feel guilty or in any way negative about not having vaccinated our child. Do you know of anyone? Thanks for your help!

I second homefirst.

They don't generally vax there and they have lots of offices all around Chicagoland.

Also try our local tribe.

We go to the Ravenswood Family Practice and a couple of the doctors in the practice are incredibly supportive of delayed vaccinations. Probably no vaccinations as well but I personally have no experience with this as my kids are on a delayed schedule. Drs. Cano and Schueneman (sp?) are wonderful.

Dr. Minkus through Northshore University Hospital (formerly Evanston Hospital) is accepting of delayed/no-vax families. He is also one of the only MD's in the area who whole-heartedly supports home birth and has campaigned for legal rights of CPM's in Illinois before congress and greatly encourages extended breastfeeding. I love him

Fred Ettner in Evanston. He's family practice, we've been with him for 5 years and we love him. Very very pro-bfing, pro-homebirth, pro-choice afa vax (we don't). 847-733-2229

I go to MJ Medical Group by Lincoln and Devon. They never gave me a guilt trip about not vaccing. I have a 3 year old and a 18mo old. I think they recommended one when I told them I wasn't wanting to vacc, but they didn't push it and never gave me a hard time or made me sign anything since.

I forgot to mention, they also take Medicaide if that is a factor in your decision.

same, we see dr. cano and she's awesome. we don't vax.
