Shoes?

Thread Starter
I need a shoe recommendation. I can't do anything with even a tiny heel cause I feel like a weeble wobble, I need support so my feet don't hurt at the end of the day (or within an hour of getting to work) and I need shoes I don't have to bend over to put on. I also need them to not cost $200.
I can't be the only one having trouble finding shoes that work. What are you wearing?

My favorite brand of comfortable dressy shoes is Clarks. They may not all be the prettiest, but they wont kill your feet.

I have been wearing my Earth shoes lately--but I got a pair at a discount store for like $35. They have been comfortable. I also really like dansko's for comfort, but they are a bit pricey. They have an online outlet and you can find some deals there--at least less than $100/pair.

Earth shoes are awesome

During cold weather I'll be wearing Chucks & Dr. Martens most of the time and, since I'm due in June, I'll happily wear Havaianas when I'm mega big

I have these as well as choc brown color. I have gotten a new pair every year for the past 5 years. They are fantastic...FANTASTIC for when you are pg bc you can get a 1/2 size bigger then what you wear and the strap loosens up even more! They look cute under jeans, chords, and even stretchy mat 'slacks'...like the loose kind.

I've been having a hell of a time trying to find shoes that I can walk more than 10 ft in.

Now that my feet are slightly bigger (not swollen, per se, just expanded) than pre-pregnancy, I've had to upsize — and flats/flip flops were starting to literally cripple my feet — and I've been reduced to wearing sneakers (so far, only New Balances will do) and Ugg boots. As long as they don't put pressure on my feet in any way, shape or form and are flat, I can get around without having to be pushed in a wheelchair.

It seems my feet aren't handling the extra load (only 20 lbs!!) very well.

I can only wear dankos.
they are so comfy for me and expand with my foot when my foot turns into more of a hoof with the added weight.
you can get a new pair for about $90 if you shop the online stores.
i think it's worth it, since my last black professionals lasted 5 years and are still going (although a little scuffed).

Best shoes I ever wore, hands down:

http://www.softstarshoes.com/index.c...category_id=43

(Recommend Adult Rambler). Also the best you can give your baby one (s)he's about to start walking.

Allows the foot to move freely, based on barefoot walking. Almost all other shoes distort the natural shape of your foot and impact your posture negatively (so less problems with cramps in your calves). And the sheepskin inside is so comfy!

Only compromise is on apearance, I am not wearing them into the office (but my husband is).

Comfy shoes that you can go to work with are from the Cydwoq brand (also based on barefoot walking, but not as minimalist as and much more expensive than the Soft Star shoes):

Pick broad ones, like Branch or Carry.

I would say Clarks, too. Com.For.Table! Long lasting. Quality.

i wore a pair of dansko all through my first pregnancy. never wore them after, but will probably get them out again this time around. they're still in very good condition and were oh-so-comfortable.

my pair have a slight heel, but they have plenty without. you can search by heel height at zappos.

clarks are very comfortable and I think they have some cute ones but I am no fashionista!

Is $150 too close to $200? I'm seriously considering a pair of these...

I love that they are handmade in the USA.

I have a couple of different pairs of Naturalizer "comfort" shoes like these. They are comfy but look nice and go with everything.

Most comfortable shoes I've ever owned are Alegria. They have so many cute patterns too. I have 3 pair of the Paloma style. Check out http://www.alegriashoeshop.com/.

I found a pair of Born shoes at Ross for $35, and I love them. They're normally around $100. I recently wore them walking around at the mall all day, and they were super comfy. I love slip on shoes like this during pregnancy. Mine are almost identical to these:

Do you have a Ross or TJMax? It's kind of hit or miss, but sometimes you can find really good shoes there for a steal.

I got a pair of these at TJ Maxx a few months ago for $35--they are craaazy comfortable and well made, and it looks like they're still available for pretty cheap. Look cute both w/skirts and jeans. I got mine a little big and they still fit just fine.
