oh no!
somehow....a green stockmar block crayon ended up in DS's laundry basket...went through the wash..and the dryer. Our dryer is now streaked with green, and his clothing....well, is basically the same.
I've read that stockmar crayons are/aren't washable. Does anyone have any experience/advice?
AUGH!!!!

Stockmar crayons are mostly beeswax and pigmint, right? Perhaps treat the clothes as if they have candle wax on them. Look online for instructrions, I think it is a wet iron on a wet towel thing. Works pretty well. Have you looked at their webiste/emailed them? They might have suggestions.

Sorry about your disaster.

My DD had a piece of beeswax in her pocket and that went through the wash. I put paper towel over it and kept ironing it until all the wax had come up. Then I put some goo gone on it to remove some of the stickiness. The problem I had was getting the color out! Maybe a good prewash treatment would help?

For the dryer you could try cleaning it with goo gone (it's fab at taking the beeswax crayons off tables & walls!) or maybe heat it up again with a hair dryer to melt it and then wiping it off?

I feel for you, what a mess!

THANK YOU for your thoughtful suggestions...I very much appreciate it! we threw everything back in the wash (::cringe:: hating to waste the energy and water...) and it seems that mostly everything came out. i am hoping that it will get better with every wash
