I like to use analogies that are simple and ANYONE can understand...I thought of this one to describe why circ'ing for infection may not always be a good idea.
Lets say that your doctor told you that every time you wash your hands you need to pull your fingernails back and scrub underneath them. Eventually, all the trauma would cause horrible inflammation and probably infection. (I got a nail infection working at a restaurant and didn't pull anything back!) So, you go into the doctor and he says, "Well, it's because you HAVE fingernails that you're getting these infections. Put your hand on the table and we'll pull those right out and it will solve all of your problems."
A sane person will turn around and RUN to another doctor, right? I mean, other people have fingernails and never have problems. So what are you doing wrong?
