My son was born 10/9/2010. He is my second child and with my first I didn't know anything about EC
Anyway so I am struggling to potty train a 2 1/2 year old while doing elimination with a 3 week old.
I am not always successful and I read a baby doesn't usually pee in their sleep but my newborn's diaper is wet every time I try to catch a poop or a pee and its occurred sometime during his sleep.
I 90% catch poops. I think 1 in 10 poops get in the diaper. I poop the baby really successfully even do it in public restrooms. However, I still have to buy about the same amount of diapers as a non ec mom because he pees in every diaper and does it while sleeping.
Should I not swaddle an EC baby? I swaddle him could that make him sleep better and thus not cue me when he has to pee? We've been communicating since he was 1 week old. I only catch like 50% of pees and if he pees while pooping then I am just lucky I guess.
Does Ec get easier over time?
Also my baby boy cues with grunting sometimes a good hour before he actually needs to poop and I am getting confused because as long as hes awake hes typically grunting....even if he doesnt need to poop.
