Heather, I'm so sorry for your loss :( Â
Â
Everyone, now that we're approaching wintertime, has anyone given any thought to light therapy to increase fertility? Â I've been reading a lot about it lately, and I realized that of the 4 pregnancies I've had (two of which ended in miscarriage), 3 of them were conceived during the summer, and the fourth that wasn't in the summer was a miscarriage for no apparent "reason" unlike the case of the IUD removal which is most likely the only reason I miscarried most recently. Â So it seems to me that I, like many women, may be much more fertile in the summertime and could possibly benefit from light therapy. Â Those light therapy lights are brutal expensive though! Â Does it seem worth the cost?? Â I'm considering just getting a growing light for plants and using that because they're much cheaper... Â Has anyone tried light therapy or know of anyone who's had luck with it?
An interesting idea...
Â
A couple months ago I read that, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the most fertile seasons for women are fall and winter...and, of course, the most fertile seasons for men are spring and summer. I don't know how much stock I put into that, but I did conceive DS in early November.Â
But, y'know, now that I think about it...when I was doing acupuncture to TTC, my acupuncturist often had this lamp-thing aimed at my tummy that made me feel all warm and toasty, but I think it also was some kind of light therapy. Whether she used it on me or not depended on where I was in my cycle.
