Who else is getting head-butted in the cervix?

(I x-posted this in "I'm pregnant" ) My babe went head-down from what I can tell almost two weeks ago. I'm 34 weeks tomorrow. Over the last few days, he has been head-butting me in the cervix rather forcefully and it hurts!! I can actually feel him push down from above with his little feet and jam his head downward. OWW!!! And it's also freaking me out, making me think I'm on some kind of trajectory into preterm labour. (Plus when I mention it, ppl around me say "he's trying to get out!" ) I haven't seen bleeding or anything weird but I've had some contrax at the same time that he mashes his head against my cervix, but that could be a coincidence... I don't remember this with DD!! Does anyone have experience with this and if so, do you think it's normal even though it's painful??

yup- he's been breech for this entire pregnancy- then the other day I suddenly started feelin the head butts. Sure enough the midwife confirmed at my 35 week appt this morning that he is in "head down" proper position.

me too! this baby is so low and I'm waddling like a duck.
I'm not due until 12/20- I have no idea how I'm going to manage waddling for so long.

I am constantly getting head-butted in the cervix, and it causes me to suck in my breath mid-sentence and stop for a second. It's really alarming to my clients while I'm on the phone. And it's like 20+ times/day. He's head down (I'm 33.5 weeks so I guess he can still shift position) and it's like he's trying to stick his hand out to wave hello. DUDE. NOT COOL.

Ahhh yes. Another cherished sensation of pregnancy.

There are definitely hands and fingers down there with mine too. It is such a strange feeling and really uncomfortable too! I was sitting at work the other day when there was a BIG jab and actually said "Oof!" outloud.

Nope! But I do remember that discomfort from the previous 4 babies. Not fun!

For the past few weeks, I've just been having what everyone seems to believe is Baby's butt poking me on my upper left side. I find it strange because I haven't been feeling any counter-bumps from the head or feet lately. While he's technically (assumed to be) upside down, his head certainly hasn't settled in yet. For the strength of this poking, I have a feeling diaper changes aren't going to be very easy with this one!

She isn't hitting my cervix yet, just my bladder. I tried explaining to her that it isn't a trampoline, but she disagrees... so I spend my days waddling between my office and the bathroom. 

But this means you're getting close!!

I'm pretty sure this is happening to me now, too - I'm excited to find out if I'm at all dilated or effaced at my next midwife appointment on Wed!!

Occassionally now, yes.  This is sometimes accompanie by shooting pains down the inside of my thighs, or just one or the other thigh!
