I have a bunch of greens in the fridge and a pot of chili simmering. Which of these (if any) would be the most appetizing with (or in) chili?

I have pasta, rice, potatoes and cornbread that i can serve w it, so if a particular combo sounds good, let me know.

I had chili tonight and it didn't occur to me to serve anything but chili... maybe cornbread.
I'm pretty fond of spinach so that is probably what I would enjoy the most.

we always have cornbread w chili, its like grilled cheese and tomato soup, they just go together in my mind. But tonight i'm more concerned with my fridge full of greens and not letting them go bad.

We often do a green salad as an appetizer with chili and cornbread as the main meal. I chose spinach from your list and it would be raw.

I'm perfectly okay with pureeing greens and adding it to the chili, too. I'd just pick whatever was the oldest or looked the most ready to eat.

It is too hot down here for chili. Cannot even fathom a pot of chili right now. We're having taco salad (our own version) tonight. It was 101 degrees today!

Spinach.
Although you could throw pretty much any veg in there in small pieces, the intense flavors would make it hardly noticeable anyway.

I'd chop the spinach and throw it in.

Other greens would be nice as a side; sauteed with some nice oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, and a dash of cider vinegar...yum!

We love cornbread with chili too.

it's hard to say. any, on the side, lightly cooked with butter and corn bread.
