Christmas ideas needed for son

Our son is our third child and he will be 3 in Feb. He is a music maniac and so I have known for months that we would get him a drum set. This was suppose to be his "big" gift from Santa. Well it arrived today and it was packaged in a drum box rather than a packing box so DS and his sisters all saw his gift.

Christmas at our house includes the kids opening a few gifts from us on Christmas eve and then when they wake up on Sunday morning Santa has come, leaving them one large gift. So it looks like we are going to have to give DS the drums so I am looking for other ideas for his Santa gift.

Because he is the third kiddo, he already has a train table and too many trains, a tricycle, and all the Little People a kid could play with. Please throw out some other ideas for an almost 3 year old boy.

Thanks!

Have you been to palumba.com? Perhaps a lyre will strike his fancy, or there is something else there that will work. These are Waldorf inspired toys.

Guitar? Hand held Leap Frog? Playmobil - lots of options like castle, jet plane, etc depending on your price point. A big trio blocks set?

Here's what we already have...
Playmbil
guitar
wooden kitchen
blocks
duplos
leap pad
wooden castle
doll house
Schleich animals, dinosaurs, people
Dress up box
puppets
Marble track

This is so hard since he is our third....
I was looking at something like this or this Does anyone have personal experience with these?

Also he does love games and particularly enjoys playing Zingo, Ravensburger First Four games, Orchard, Funny Bunny, Uno, Go Fish
Does anyone have any other game ideas?

Well, my DS is also a music maniac. Last Christmas, when he was 19 months old, my DH bought a Fisher Price record player off Ebay (you know, the same yellow one you had as a kid? ) and a few thrift store records. Since then, we've stocked up on dozens more records from various thrift stores. It is my son's absolute FAVORITE thing to this day. He plays his "geckords" every day. He knows all of the records inside and out, and enjoys the game of us singing a line or two from a song, then he digs through his pile of records to find the record we were singing. He is being exposed to all types of music from Baroque lute to Aretha Franklin to Janet Jackson!

I think we paid $15 for the player, and records are as cheap as they come ($.25-$.75).

If he won't put the marbles in his mouth, I would consider something like this:

He might enjoy this (if you do plastic):
