Glad the low lying placenta wasn't and issue and your birth went well. Can't wait for pictures later today! What timing! I hope you get some rest and enjoy your new baby girl.

Glad everything was ok with your placenta! And that makes me feel better about your EDD -- I'm less jealous!

I'm curious to see how much she weighs, and what she looks like!

It's so weird- the kids and I had been searching for caul pictures on Tuesday- my 9 yo randomly asked if it was ossible for the water to break after baby was out. I swear the kid is psychic.

I have the placenta & everything in my fridge. I had a placenta smoothie after the birth and will encapsulate it tomorrow. How do you keep the caul?

I learned a cool technique from jeannine parvati baker many years ago for preserving membranes. You take a Pyrex dish and coat it with olive oil and a drop of your fav EO. Take the membranes and spread them out thinnly in the dish. In several weeks you'll start to see the membranes dry and pull away from the dish. Pull it up carefully and flip to the other side and let it dry completely. I did this with my ds3's placental membranes and it was so cool. It is in his scrapbook on a page I did for his Lotus Birth.
