Moving to bassinet in the middle of the night

My 6 week old gets put down when in deep sleep in her co-sleeper, 1 ft from my head, in the beginning of the night. She wakes up around 2 and nurses in bed side lying. I keep trying to get her back in her co-sleeper but no matter how asleep she seems she always wakes up and cries till I take her back to sleep next to me (I have to nurse her first). I don't mind sleeping next to her except my back and neck are killing me from staying in 1 position. She is swaddled and we have 2 noise machines going.

Any tips?

Figure out how to get comfy sleeping next to her Do you need a pillow behind your back? etc

I've tried all sorts of pillow configurations. The problem is we have a Queen size bed and there just isn't enough room to stretch out the way I need to. Poor Dh is already pushed over as far as he can go.

Is there another bed you can use for a while? Does the baby wake as soon as you try to move her or once moved? IF its the latter try putting a hot water bottle in her bassinett while you nurse then remove it right before placing baby down sometimes the change in tempeture from the warmth of mommy to the cooler bassinet wakes then the extra warmth may help. I totaly understand what your saying. LOVE and promote cosleeping but if I can't lay both my shoulders down I'm jsut sooo uncomfortable and start to actually feel resentment. I actually sleep with my baby in her nursery (we both closleep and shs sleeps in her crib) but its because DH snores awful and between night waking for feeding and his snoring I'd never get sleep.
I can't breastfeeding while sleeping for some reason the baby will have nothing to do with i I HAVE to sit up so yea I get the need for sleep.

We have a small house and no extra bed to sleep in. She does seem to wake up as soon as I move. She usually lays still for a minute or two and then starts squirming. I love the hot water bottle idea. I wonder if it will stay hot through the night so I don't have to get up to get it. I'm also thinking of trying a sleep positioner to maybe stop her squirming.

They also make little electric heating pads you'll not want to keep then in the bassineet with baby as babies can't regulate there tempetures as well but they are great for keeping the blanket.sheet warm when you have to have baby out of the crib. a sleep positioner might help as well. My LO sleeps much better on her tummy no sure if your comfortable with that (no swaddling if on tummy).

sleep positioners seem like bad news. I can usually roll onto my back after DD nurses back to sleep, as I have a pretty bad back/shoulders. We still take up less than half the queen. That being said, DH is in the spare room! so I get to swap sides in th middle of the night if I need to.
we officially started cosleeping at about 2-3AM around 1m.o, and not too long after I realized it was much easier to do it all night and not deal with the wake-ups.

we solved our similar problem by kicking my poor husband out of the bed, so i have the entire bed to sleep in with ds2, we also have a queen size. Our house is small too, so he sleeps on a mattress in the lounge (bought specially for him lol). It sounds mean and horrible, but it works SO well. Dh gets a full nights sleep and isn't exhausted at work (as he was with ds1 when we all co-slept in the same bed). And I get to sleep comfortably and swap sides.

good luck!
