Excuse me, but those violent ideas would be references to 'bad guys', NOT police officers!

Of course, but he has been taking books out of the library about police officers and asking about shooting. We tell him that police officers rarely need to use their guns, etc (my mom was a police officer). I was just trying to think of where the words may have come from.

Does he watch TV? Movies/DVDs? Daycare? Neighborhood children? Relatives? I, personally, would need to find out *where* this violence is coming from in an effort to understand. It's far from unsettling----it's downright scary to hear these extremely angry words coming from your child! I know he doesn't understand their magnitude, but he does seem understand that someone says them when angry.....and that is quite puzzling as to the source of where he is modeling this from.....
