Cold nights, cold babies

The nights are getting colder and I'm not sure how to dress my 15 mo for the night. DH and I both like to be under heavy quilts (separate covers since we are co-sleeping), but DS hates being under blankets. I've been doubling up his cotton PJs. I personally don't like to sleep in fleece, but might have to go that route.

What are you doing to keep your baby warm at night? He had a terrible night a few nights ago and we realized it was because he was cold.

my 19m sleeps in the mddle of us so we try to dress him warm but not toasty, since my dh and i make the bed pretty warm when we get in. on those cold days, my ds is in sweat pants and an undershirt. he sleeps with a thin blanket, and i have actually had to take off his sweats before cuz we all generate so much heat.

but there have been really freezing days where he sleeps in a footed sleeper w/ an undershirt, but i can never sleep right cuz i worry he will overheat.

and a little extra cuddling always keeps everybody warm in my famly

I put a layer of wool (longies, long sleeved shirt, socks) under a fleece footed pjs. The wool will absorb sweat if he gets too hot, and if he gets too cold (which isnt easy in that combo), he'll snuggle up against me.

I dont reccomend this if you have to do a midnight diaper change, though.

since i don't control the heat in my apartment it's often to hot for us at night. i end up kicking off the blanket. the other night he was in just a diaper! normally just a normal sleeper though. i check him during the night to see if he needs the sleep sac or anything. i'm so afraid him getting to hot or to cold.

My older one didn't like being under a blanket, adn I'd put her in cotton footie jammies under fleece footie jammies.

21mo DD2 doesn't like the blankets either, so we put her in fleece footed pjs. I know some mamas use sleep sacks, even for their toddlers.

I seem to remember seeing a sleep sack that had legs, for the older babes/ toddlers, but for the life of me, I don't remember where

We like fleece footy jammies here!

When DS was younger in our old place, we would put a layer of cotten jammies underneath fleece footy jammies.
