I'm about 23 weeks pregnant and I finally found a great source for goat milk kefir...woo hoo! I'm wondering what amount should I be getting daily? I've only been doing about 3-4 tablespoons a day so I'm wondering what do I need to really make an impact on my gut

In homemade kefir there is billions of cultures in just 1-2 tablespoons, so the amount you are doing is great. You can do whatever you want, but if it were me, I would only do what you have been doing all along as increasing would start a detox, and detox while pregnant and/or nursing isn't good for baby.

PS- Congrats on the pregnancy. Oh babies! I love newborns, I was just holding my sisters 5 day old yesterday.

I had lots of kefir during pregnancy: about 2-4 cups a day, made with raw goats milk. I never had an ill effects from it, and it was the best middle of the night snack when I would wake up starving.

I consumed tons of kefir during my last pregnancy. My mom and I both make it every day, and I would make one or two smoothies a day with a good cup or so in each. I never had any problems with it.
