3 yo Christmas present ideas?

So just about every year I come up with pretty good ideas for bday/xmas presents. Last year it was aprons with their names on them and lots and lots of kid sized, fun cooking items and kids cook books. But this year I'm kinda lost. There is really nothing my children "need". All the grandparents and aunts will be contacting me soon for ideas. My 6yo dd is old enough to have real interests now and has an ever growing list of present ideas, but my 3 yo dd is not really old enough to want anything in particular yet. And I just can't think of much...So any great ideas for Christmas this year?

Classes/lessons/memberships make great gifts (DS got swimming lessons with googles one year, a cooking class another year) as well as small $ gift certificates to a book store or toy store (they have fun picking out their own).

My kids LOVE Magna-Tiles, which would be age-appropriate for a 3 y.o. Both my 4.5 & 7.5 y.o. still play with them nearly every day. There are smaller sets that are reasonable, the larger sets are pricey.

Books, books on CD, musical instruments are always good too.

My kids don't need anything either, and my six year old doesn't really have any ideas either. They are both full of things they want, in theory, but little of it would actually be appreciated or used. I'm going to be watching for ideas!

My mom, who sews but is on a fixed income, is making my almost-4 ds a dress-up "chest" with multiple capes, chaps and cowboy hat, "daddy" suit (dress shirt and tie), chef's hat, etc. I predict that it will be a HUGE hit.

My favorite fallback present for both the boys: LEGOS. My almost three year old is really starting to build his own cool creations! They also both love games (Hungry Hippos) and art supplies. Dress up clothes are huge. Also try the Imaginext toys found at Toys-R-Us like their cool pirate ship or rescue boat http://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-N...005857&sr=8-10 You can find a great Leapster and games for cheap on Ebay!

My oldest is 3 this year her presents will be:
A puppet theatre with puppets
A dress up trunk (sharing with her younger sister)

i am planning to replace art supplies we are running out of for some of my 3 year old sons presents and and other gifts may include a puzzle because he is getting really into jig saw puzzles. we hope to move in January so going to be careful not to get anything that will make moving any more work than it already will be. he mostly plays with wooden blocks now or with mud!

I got ds a quadrilla marble run, and I dunno what else we will get!

Last year he got a Skuut from santa, and uses it every day, so its hard to beat that

We got ds a lego train set for his bday (4 on thanksgiving), we LOVE legos and he's been drawing trains and talking trains constantly, lol.

For christmas we are considering a bike with removeable training wheels (his bike now they won't come off), a wagon for him to pull around, and we are making him a bean bag toss!! I am excited about that one!

She is getting a stroller for her baby and puzzles. She loves her puzzles.

DS will be three four days after Christmas. He's main present is a dress up trunk. It's including a couple of big-ish side presents like a stick horse (to go with the cowboy hat) and a Melissa and Doug play doctor kit that comes with a dress up coat.
He's also getting a toy cash register, a couple more Thomas trains (used, hopefully), and a hop ball, which was like my favorite thing ever as a kid.
Also, my parents are getting him a very cool wooden fire station.

I'm thinking about asking for a nice big set of Unit Blocks... Last year we got DS1 a traintable and bunch of train stuff... (DS1 will be nearly 4 by xmas - born beginning of march 07)

For dd's 3rd bday, we got her a great fabric/wood doctor's kit and one of the kids digital cameras. They were both big hits.

For Christmas, she is getting a bean bag chair, a doll of some kind, probably the "our generation" one that is a look-alike for the american girl dolls, and probably an art set with paints, etc..

Last year when DD was 3 at Christmas she got a play kitchen, books, a new doll, and some other stuff. This year I feel like she doesn't need anything, but she does want doll accessories--highchair, bottle, sling, etc. So I'm sure there will be plenty of that stuff. I'm also thinking of getting her a headlamp if I can find one small enough for her tiny head. She loves taking walks in the evening, and it gets dark by 3:30 in December! I'm also thinking about a kids' digital camera. I wanted to get one for her last year, but dh wasn't as excited about the idea as I was. I think I'll bring it up again this year.

3 year old is getting:

Dress up trunk with costume jewelery, play silks, funky little odds and ends I am picking up along the way (capes, felted crowns etc)

Books! 10 new books (buying used)

...I have no idea what else. From G-parents I'm asking for craft supplies because we can never have too many.
