DD's funny bedtime stalling attempt

While snuggled in her bed in the dark, post story and talking about our day...

DD: There's a lizard in your hair!
Me: ???
DD: April Fools!
Me: But it isn't April.

Silence.

DD: There's a lizard in your nose!
Me: ???
DD: November Fools!

LOL. I just saw this and bust out laughing in the library (where I am now).

My 8 yo tries everything. She didn't particularly love our (now deceased) dog - would not want him near her, didn't want to pet him because his fur was stinky, etc. Last week Erin came down the steps and said, "I miss Hunter."  about 90 minutes after she is normally asleep. My husband and I both looked at each other and one of us said, "I know, I miss him too. Let's go back upstairs."  While the other was grabbing a pillow to cover the laughter. That kid has tried everything.
