If we DTD October 14--would you expect me to test positive by now? lots of symptoms, but 2 negative tests last week--i am waiting until monday to retest. DD is 15 months old and breastfed and I haven't had a pp period yet.

I would personally believe myself to not be pregnant.

For me, I would say it depends a bit on when you ovulated, but yes, I would have expected a positive test by now.

Did you have signs of ovulation? My DS is 13m and I haven't had my PPAF yet either and I keep psyching myself out thinking I may be pg. . ..but I haven't had any signs of ovulation/returning fertility yet, so I assume it's very very unlikely that I'll get pg without noticing a change in CM.

Apparently its pretty common to have early pg-like symptoms as your body gears up to cycle again.

you havent tested since last week? last week could indeed have been too early. I think mondays a good day to test. if its negative i would trust it then.

I would have expected a positive by now.

Since you did them last week, I might try one more this weekend, and then take it as a no.

yes, this is where my thinking is and what my plan was!

I am fertile according to CM changes and have been for the last 4 months. I have had cyclical changes in CM and other body symptoms that lead me to believe that I am fertile.

If you ovulated around then and conceived, it would make you around 5 weeks pregnant now. So for most people that should read positive on a test.

you cant exactly be fertile for 4 months.... you are only fertile 5 days before and 1 day after ovulation... any other time, you can have fertility signs and not be pregnant

(and even if you get signs of ovulation every 4 weeks, if you are not getting your period within a couple weeks after them and are not pregnant, you are not actually ovulating at those times. of course, the time your body finally decides to ovulate, you could indeed get pregnant)

I didn't mean that I was fertile for 4 months straight. I meant I have been having EWCM for four months and believe myself to be ovulating for the last 4 months. I actually don't think that AF is a must to be ovulating and fertile. AF is just 1 indicator or fertility, but that is my opinion. I don't think our bodies are as linear as modern science would have us all believe

I have many friends that have become pregnant without PPAF return and I don't think that they all happened to catch their first egg--they just caught 1 of the eggs.
