More irresponsible "journalism" on CDs. I don't have time to read through all 321 comments, but I haven't seen a positive one yet, so at least I'm not alone in getting by this bit of "news."

Grrrr

Wow. A cloth verses disposable news piece with two people who used disposable diapers.

I've never seen a cloth diaper with buttons. This person has no clue what she's talking about.

I hate that people think disposables are more convenient, and not as messy as cloth. It's all what you're used to.

We don't have a car. I would find it very inconvenient to be hauling large packages of diapers and wipes home from the store. The cloth diaper load is the easiest load of laundry we do. There's no folding and sorting. Not to mention, cloth diapers contain messy poop way better than disposables.

And it might have been nice if they at least showed a snappi instead of suggesting pins and laughing about how hard pins would be on a live baby instead of a doll.

Apparently the reporter read all the pro cloth comments and took them seriously. She's agreed to try cloth for a month.

I thought it was funny how she talked about the disposable being so quick to put on and the cloth diaper taking much longer, when in her video it seemed like it was about the same. Good for her for giving it a try, I hope she gets some pockets or AIOs instead of flats or prefolds because then it will be easier for her and a more favourable review for cloth! Which BTW I think would have been a much better comparison to disposables if their only concern is convenience.

It makes no sense to me whatsoever that this peditrician said disposables are better for diaper rash than cloth. Ummm....a breathable, cotton diaper with no chemicals added to it creates more diaper rash than a plastic, chemical filled diaper? Uhhhhh....ummmm....yeah prolonged contact with a soiled diaper will cause diaper rash. But if that's the only cause, then why is Pampers under so much pressure about their recently changed chemical makeup that's causing a huge amount of diaper rash?! I'm very glad that the reporter is trying the cloth diapers for a month to compare, but I'm really annoyed that neither party CDed to begin with. That doesn't make for an unbiased review.

Yeesh, hopefully they research about this and come up with an actually well founded report for the comparison.

It said she was using all in ones and that even traveling was not bad and she liked the benefits.  I think it is reall awesome that she responded to the criticism by doing a trial!  Great blog, I'm definitely following it.
