What do you think of our baby name?

We're keeping our baby's name a secret from family and friends until after she is born, but it's nice to get some opinions other than our own

What do you think of the name Caroline Maria (or Caroline Marija, sounds the same)?

At first we had decided on Caroline Veronica, but we're now leaning towards Maria/Marija because it's a family name. My grandmothers are Maria and Marianne, and DH's grandma was Marija.

P.S. I already know that Caroline Marie flows better, but to me it's not the same name at all. Plus Marie has become a common "filler" sort of middle name.

I think Caroline Maria is very pretty! I'm a fan of using names that have meaning for the middle name instead of just a "filler" name.

Wow! Its so funny I stumbled onto this trying to find something I posted before.
I'm a Marija, and I've only met a couple others. It is not usually pronounced the same as Maria though. Well, except in Polish they pronounce Maria so it sounds like my name... accent on the first syllable. where is your DH's grandma from, I'm so curious.

I prefer Maria over Marie. My friend and I just had the conversation this weekend on Marie being the go to middle name if you can't find anything else.

I LOVE Marija. We have named all of our children after someone in our family using their middle names.

My hubby is from Bosnia

I'd be worried about pronounciation problems if we were considering Marija as a first name, but since it's in the middle I'm not too concerned.
