Recommend a sling for near-toddler, cradle hold?

Hi All,

My DD is nearly 15 mos old/21 lbs and loooves her old Balboa sling. She has gotten so used to the cradle hold; it is her most comfortable position, except now her big long baby legs are starting to hang over the sides. Does anyone know of a sling that I can use the cradle hold in with a bigger baby? I thought I remembered someone mentioning one with a big pouch but can't seem to find it via Google...

My giant baby solution is a short wrap tied in a slip knot, like a ring sling, but it works better for us. My 23 pound 15 month old can still be in a cradle hold in the rebozo quite nicely.

Pslings by nature are very wide, but they are a bit harder to find new in the US because their store/distributor closed earlier this year.  You can buy them new from Japan though, or look for a used one on The Babywearer's for sale or trade board.

Kalea also makes super wide slings, I have heard great things about them.

I have a p sling and love it for DD (23 pounds).  It is linen and very supportive fabric plus a huge pouch, she can totally snuggle in it.  It's a little different to get used to because of the way the shoulder is but once I got used to it, I loved it.  It's cool because you adjust it once and then just pop in and out, you do not need to adjust it again.

I would not buy a new one because they are very, very expensive plus they are hard to break in.  Go to thebabywearer.com FSOT and there are a lot of them on sale for really great prices.
