Fever - good or bad?

I feel quite confused. I used to be one of those over sensitive people who seems to catch germs easily, develop furious symptoms like fever, chills and the full set for even a common cold, and get well faster than other people. My fever was frequently even higher than children's. In the last year and half I've been working to improve my nutrition and overall feel much healthier. However I don't know what to think about my immune system. I no longer get fever, at all, not much cough or runny nose either. I can just feel that I caught something, then I get tired, very tired, kinda sore here and achy there, ill enough to irritate me, but not ill enough to sleep all day, I'd be very bored. I just drag myself around doing the bare minimum for days, feeling sluggish and dumb, until I get better. Is this what a stronger immune system supposed to be like? Or does it just mean I have slow metabolism now?

Sometimes I almost miss having fever. I knew my body's fighting germs furiously and knew when it's over. Now it's like, another day has gone by and crap I'm not feeling better yet. Right now I've been feeling very tired and achy for 3 or 4 days with no other cold or flu symptoms, and no improvement at all. I hope it doesn't mean my body's not fighting hard any more and germs would go in deeper and I'll end up with bronchitis or something.

I find if I take something like Cold FX, I will get a fever and get better much faster. Other than that a cold or flu will usually not result in a fever for me.
