Has my high needs babe returned or is it 2-year molars?

DS was a moderately intense baby but has been a very happy, joyful, and gentle toddler...until about 2 weeks ago. He seems miserable about 80% of the time and I don't know where my sweet boy has gone. This coincides with nightwaking again, which we experienced pretty severely until his first set of teeth came in at 14 months.

Is it teething round 2, or is this the so-called "terrible twos"? The transformation was overnight.

I don't know, but you just described what we are going through with our 19 month old. She is chewing on her hands like crazy. Our best guess
Is the second set of molars. I can't feel them through the gum yet so I think we have a long way to go if it is indeed teething.
