...But I NEED a food pyramid!

We've been slowly switching over to to TF diet for the last 10 months but there has always been a bit of confusion about what TF looks like. I think I finally figured out how to explain what it is I don't understand.

What should our daily diet look like exactly? How much mean, grains, veggies, etc should we be consuming?

Can you give a sample of what your breakfast, lunches and dinners look like? And also what that looks like for you little ones? Thanks!!!

Oh, I like that food pyramid much better! I work in a public elementary school as an aide. I cringe and have to bite my tongue everytime it's taught. Uhg!

THANK YOU!!! That's exactly what I was looking for! If anyone would be interested in commenting on what their day looks like, I'd be eager to read that, too!!

BTW: By "Mean" I meant "Meat!" Oops!

I try to eat animal products several times a day, though I don't personally eat a whole lot of meat. It's usually eggs for breakfast, a soup with broth for lunch sometimes with a little chicken meat, meat or fish for dinner most nights, rice or quinoa soaked and cooked in broth at dinner, yogurt for a snack, and a buttery cookie for another snack. I try to have fatty fish at least twice a week, often more, and eat it raw (sashimi) once a week.

I try to eat veggies about 3 times a day. I have veggies in my soup at lunch, have a vegetable side at dinner, and snack on kale chips or saute up some veggies for a snack. I try to have greens most days, and I try to make a point to eat some raw, high in vitamin C veggies most days (red peppers, tomatoes, etc). We really try to use a variety of veggies. We may eat 10-15 different types of vegetables within a week. I occasionally eat sauerkraut and really need to get into fermenting my own veggies soon to make that a bigger part of my diet.

I eat whole grains/potatoes at least twice a day. My morning eggs are on whole wheat sourdough bread, and my dinner usually includes rice (soaked and cooked in broth) or a baked potato. Sometimes, I'll have potatoes in my lunch soup, and I'll often snack on whole wheat cookies or occasionally on buttered sourdough bread.

I eat fruit about once most days for a snack.

I sweeten my cookies and yogurt with raw honey.

It's not everything I eat, but it's a pretty good sample. I also throw in a few nuts here and there, brazil nuts for selenium, organ meats from time to time (I should do more).
