B12 and lots of water

Does anyone have some clues as to why dd drinks lots of water when I take my hydroxy b12?

B12 transfers through breastmilk quite well. A couple years ago, DS got our bottle of B12 and swallowed an indeterminate number and my HCP said that he may drink a lot for the rest of the day, I think because it was possible it would speed up some detox pathways and he'd need the water to pass it through. I don't know if that's the answer if it's just 1 tablet of B12--I don't remember if DS changed how much he drank when I first started supplementing B12.

i can see a huge difference in her with just one tablet, so I think that explanation makes sense. Thanks for that.
