My name is Laurie. I am 30 years old and live in Baltimore with my dear husband, Marvin, and my two darlings, Mackenzie (12) and Henry (4 months). Both of my children were born in hospitals as natural, pain-medication free deliveries. If we are blessed with another pregnancy, I would like to give home birth a try. Although I have to work for financial reasons, I am a breastfeeding, bed-sharing, attached parent. We are lucky to have parents that support our choices and care for the baby while we are working. Having my children spaced so far apart, the experience of having an infant feels all new again and I find that I am much more radical in my beliefs than I expected to be. I love the way that caring for a baby taps into the feminine and maternal wisdom within, and it is such a relief to surrender to my own intuition. I look foward to connecting with other Mamma's for insight and guidance.
