150 Before Christmas - Page 11

Well don't think I'm making it to 150 as planned. Too busy, I'm a flunky! I do know, that since my last post I've gotten rid of at least another 40 items. So not bad overall! Only like 100 instead of 150.  I'm going to do a  major overhaul next year though. Like the entire house, like 2011 in 2011. Happy Holidays to all!

Well, I had planned to get rid of 150 bags or boxes, and I made it to 50 but 50 is still a big number and it ended up over 150 things that left the house. :) Mainly I got rid of old papers, text books and clothes. So now, let the after christmas purge continue. Out with the old, in with the new.

My goal- to declutter my scrapbooking and art materials. I am turning the craft closet into my broom/cleaning closet. The crafts are going into the spare bedroom. Life will be much less hectic

I made it to 150 last week...I actually counted it up to 175!! : ) I have been so busy that I haven't had time to post. I am very proud of y'all!!!

I haven't given up yet but I'm a little desperate in the way I'm counting. But I think this is OK because sometimes I'm more conservative.

116-117 - 2 pair of pants. 

118 - mug from my home town that I hate the style of. 

119 pens that didn't write. 

120 -121- 2 pair of PJs. 

121 - 1 shirt of DHs (he says it can go). 

122 poster - Murphy's computer laws. I trashed it. 

123 - old tights. 

124 broken toy tea pot that DD was hiding in her room. 

125 - empty pad that I used to jot this stuff down on!

126 random papers. 

127 - 2 partial sets of measuring spoons. Several mangled from garbage disposal. 

128 - box of gingerbread that I gave to a neighbor. (But we were never going to use it.) I'm thinking of trashing the other one.  (well I said I was getting desperate!).

131 - 132 - 2 skirts of mine. 

133 - McDs toy (I think. It said burp on it or something gross. I think it makes noise).

135 - random "foamy" creations. We're done with these right? They served their purpose, had fun, DD loved them and now I can pitch them, right?

I'm still working at it and hope to have 150 by New Year's...  Better late than never, right? 

Regardless, I'm really glad I did this.  It motivated me to go through and reevaluate a lot of what I have.  Some things, like old journals, I'm not yet ready to let go of.  Others, like baby clothes, I was able to sort through and keep only what I'm positive we'll use again (assuming we have another boy).  I may not be completely organized yet, but I have many fewer unnecessary belongings at this point. Yay!

I do that too...I don't think it matters as it all balances out, and it is all stuff going out the door.

My great news for the morning is all the stuff Ive been counting has been posted on free cycle , in a to go out box in the car or a two  go out box in the office today its all leaves . well except three things clearly labeled to go out on set dates. it feel a whole lot better with that completed
