Im also starting to feel bleh in my clothes, I think im just very very bloated and hope that it will go away soon.. only to be replaced with a bump heeehee. Last time I didn't start wearing maternity pants until I was 6.5 months along.

Tracymom, Glad to hear your appointment went well!  I ovulated on the 9th as well, but if you go based on my last cycle I would be due June 26th... ill find out on Monday what date my doctor is going with, I think it will be July 2nd (one day after my birthday!).

My doctors office called yesterday... he went over my u/s and everything looked great (not that there was much to see) and he wants to see me on Monday. Im going to get back into the swing of taking my bp at home everyday,  because it will be through the roof when I see him. Not sure if I should be expecting another u/s soon or not.. it would put me at ease to see that little heartbeat

I stopped by my midwife's office today to get some pregnancy nausea tea. One of her assistants is an herbalist (how awesome is that!) so she made me up a bag of tea. We've scheduled the first official appointment for December 7th so we'll hopefully hear a heartbeat then. 

I'm already in maternity pants. My old pants cut right across where my belly bulge is so come afternoon it gets really uncomfortable. I can't find my demi-panel maternity pants so I may need to get some of those, the full panel is kind of overkill right now. I should post my belly pictures when everyone is up for a belly pictures thread. My due date would be June 29th if I went by LMP but I ovulated on day 18 so that gives me July 2nd. 

As for this weekend, my DH is home for a long weekend so I'm getting some much needed rest while I can take it.

Don't know if you're interested, but I got a couple of pairs of Old Navy no-panel maternity pants and I like them so much, I just ordered other colors.  The cords are only $16 with free shipping!  They look just like normal pants.    I wore no-panel pants all the way through with DS, so I'm hoping to stretch these the whole time as well...or at least until it's too summery to wear cords any more.

I hear you on the mid-afternoon thing.  I don't know what it is, but I just feel huge by 3:00!!  My left-over pudge has doubled in the last couple of weeks.  I was kind of hoping I'd saved enough pudge to skip this part.  I have enough already, thanks!!

I have a mama flap so I need maternity pants that have some support to them because my abdominal muscles are shot, my normal pants are mom jeans (I'd put the embarrassed smiley here if it worked)  I might try finding some at Target so I can try them on, we have a Motherhood so I may check some out there.

 Oh me too!  I didn't realize how bad it was until I put on some pre-kid light weight capris this summer, and promptly took them off again and stuffed them in the good-will box!!  These are just discrete stretchy pants with a wide waistband!  Trust me...I'm a 16 on an extremely good day!  I don't do low-rise ever!!

So do they have enough support to keep things where they're supposed to be? My problems seems to be finding a panel that comes up high enough to support but low enough to work for early pregnancy, I may have to try them. I think I'm going to try the Spanx Power Mama underwear to see if they help with support and lift this time around since they seem to have a built in support band and can do double duty as underwear.

*I* feel comfortable with them.  The pants stay up and nothing looks weird or jiggly.  But you could also team up with a belly band too to help transition.  Super comfy.    Oh, and if you do go with anything Old Navy or Motherhood and you can't try it on first...definitely read the reviews!  Seems like a fair amount of sizes running too big!

Oh, Katie have you used those spanx before?  I thought about buying them last time I was at the mall but decided to wait.  I need some serious help with the puckers and pinches I have all around my middle, hips and backside.

Alright you convinced me, I'm going to try the stretchy waist panel pants and see how I like them. I see some summer stuff is on sale on ON too so maybe I might grab a few shirts or dresses.

I have a few pairs of the regular Spanx higher power shapers and really like them. With my last pregnancy I wore the Secret Fit maternity pants and then a Motherhood tactel tank top over them to help keep my pants up and do a little supporting/shaping but I'd rather wear fewer layers for comfort because that got really hot after a while.

Katie I think it is awesome your midwife's asst is an herbalist!

Still haven't called my midwife yet.  Or my insurance company.  I was like this last time too.  I just keep mulling it over cause if i was on my own I would definitely UP and UC.  But I'm not, I've got my wonderful dh whom I and he is just not on board with that.  So I will see the midwives again, they are actually really great for the most part, and maybe this time i will convince him to stay home for the birth.  We'll see.  There are some issues to work out from Jackson's birth so they will be helpful for that.

Anyway, I am going to a friend's baby shower tomorrow!  It should be really fun.  I got her a diaper from her registry and today i have to go get the bead for her birthing necklace.  Other than that we aren't doing anything special.

Well I have been procrastinating on my kitchen cleaning this week so I really have to go!

After feeling a little sheepish (but comfy) this week in no-panel maternity pants, today I'm wearing my regular jeans with a belly band...and it's SO not comfortable.  *sigh*  I'm going to blame it on the progesterone, but still this is nutso--I'm not even 6 weeks yet--maybe there's twins in there still??  Does the bloat kick in more with twins than one?  I wouldn't think so. 

I've got a couple more pairs of pants and a pair of jeans coming in the mail and they can't get here soon enough at this rate!  Old Navy is kind of awesome!  I never would have thought to shop there, but I've now got 5 pants for the price of 2 anywhere else!  I don't like their shirts so much, but right now, pants are the main issue.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one experiencing early pudge!  I thought I was just weird or something. =) Ugh!  I feel huge!  My first pregnancy I didn't even start to show until around 22 weeks!  And this time I'm ready for maternity pants before 6 weeks.  I could just cry.  Oh wait, that's probably the hormones.. I'm incredibly soppy lately.

I really hate buying pants online, they never ever fit me right.  I may drive the 45 miles to the closest Old Navy store and see what they have. 

I have been procrastinating on calling my MW too.  I know when I conceived, I feel normal (early pregnancy normal) and it's a long drive to go see her. 

DD is done with her lunch, I'd better release her from her highchair before she starts launching food...

Well, I bought my first pair of Spanx yesterday.  I tried them on this morning and have to say that I think they will be a good addition to my wardrobe.  I went to Macy's before my girl's dinner and discovered that they have an expanded maternity section that carries Motherhood Maternity, Mimi, and A Pea in the Pod.  The latter 2 I really can't afford but they have some pretty good sales .  I bought this dress for $14.99! http://www.motherhood.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=90537669003&MasterCategory_Id=MC3   Now I have something to wear for Thanksgiving and Hanukkah!

I am making a pumpkin pie today for the first time ever.  I was always intimidated by using fresh pumpkin because it seemed like such an ordeal, but we got a small baking pumpkin in the last CSA box and I was determined to make it into something!  Its in the oven right now so I will give you a full report later!  

Tomorrow is my official "go through closets and organize stuff" day.  DH is not working (strange for him on a sunday) so I am going to take full advantage of having him home.  

ArcticRose - where in Oregon are you?  I lived in Monmouth for a few years and then up in Scappoose for a few years.  I miss it every. single. day. sigh... I loved the climate of the valley - nice season changes without the crazy cold and snow of the mountains (but close enough drive to visit anytime).  Sigh again...

Tracymom1, good for you for making a pumpkin pie from scratch! I wanted to use ours for a pie, but ended up roasting and freezing it for soup and curry over the winter.

We have next to nothing for maternity stores here, especially plus size maternity! Im pretty tall (5'11) and only ended up finding maternity clothes that I liked last time in the US. We'll probably end up down there again this pregnancy, im hoping not until the spring (assuming the bloating does go away).

Im looking forward to my doctors appointment on Monday! I have a bazillion questions for him and want to get the a-ok on working out... im sure he will say its all good now!

I had a baby dream last night.    I was getting an ultrasound and saw the baby.  And in my dream it was a baby boy. 

I was looking forward to making pizza for days, but hubby waylaid me with a project.  To make it up to me he took me to Stevi B's.  It's a lot like Cici's pizza buffet, but the pizza is waaaaay better.  I didn't think I was very hungry, but I ate A LOT of food, and felt good, but not overly full.  And I ate a salad too.  My fav pizza is the baked potato.  :)

Sounds yummy Brittee!  I've been wanting to go to a chinese buffet, weird since I don't normally crave that (I do always enjoy it, just not something that I hardly ever think of.)  And I've never had hot and sour soup, but I'm really wanting to try it all of a sudden.

I started feeling really awful yesterday. I woke up okay and had breakfast and then proceeded to throw up non-stop all morning. I started taking Unisom/B6 last night. I can't function like that and I'm not even going to attempt to. I'm still not feeling great but I can function at least. We had Chinese tonight and it was okay. I really like hot and sour soup but every restaurant makes it differently and I haven't found one that I like as much the Chinese restaurant in my hometown in NY. I ended up ordering some of the jeans from Old Navy. I'm running out of options for shirts so I need to figure out a solution to that, and figure out where all my maternity clothing is. 

I love the dress, Tracy! It looks like it'll be a very versatile wardrobe piece.

I gained 5 lbs in 2 days.  How does that even happen???  I had a physical one day and 2 days later went in for bloodwork and got on that scale.  YIKES.  I feel like a big old bloated sack.  I was still trying to take baby weight off from DS who just turned 1.  aarghhh.
