I did it! A beautiful HBAC

I loved reading VBAC stories when pg, they helped to keep me confident and keep the doubts away.

Short version:
Ben Connor born on 21st October into water in my home, 2 1/2 years after c-section with my daughter. He was 10lbs 1oz (almost a pound bigger than DD!). Active labour was 5 hours. Interestingly, my contractions were never longer than 45 seconds, and this is what deemed my contractions "inefficient" with DD's labour. Pah!

Yay! Congrats!!

FWIW, I always had "weird" contractions in both of my labors leading to vaginal deliveries. Contractions were irregular and variable in length and spacing between them. Progress was slow until about 5 cm, then each contraction must have dilated me almost 1 cm at a time until I reached 10 cm. Isn't it funny how in modern obstetrics, we are expected to follow a set pattern?

Congrats! Loved your story. Inspiring. Hope to have a similar experience soon, myself, as I await my planned HBAC in the next few weeks.
