What is this and it is normal?

So I feel the baby move quite a bit. But sometimes it is almost like he is shivering or having convulsions or something. What is he doing? I never felt anything like this with DD. I don't even know what it could be if it isn't shivers but why in the world would the baby be shivering inside? Do you ladies feel anything like this? What could it be and is it normal? I am kind of freaking out... Thanks In advance!

This is how the movements feel for me when they are down low. But they feel like regular kicks when they are up higher. Someone else told me they have the same thing when the kicks are down low so then I started thinking, could it be my bladder that is actually kind of contracting when I get a kick down low, so that I don't pee on myself? So the "convulsions" are actually my bladder? I don't know but otherwise, I'm afraid my baby is having seizures!

Does this happen when the kicks are near your bladder, like mine?

Mine has done this a few times and when they start they make me jump. I just figure she is having a solo dance party.

DDCC - Mine does it too. Maybe their nose itches and they don't know how to scratch it so they shake around?

I have this too! I was wondering the same thing. This pregnancy is so different from my first. Kicks are in a different place, too. But it feels like she is shaking so fast I can't believe it's just a kick.

I get these! Like a very fast flutter!

I have to admit I was wondering if the baby was having a seizure, they are about as fast as I can wiggle a finger.

Can't baby-hiccups feel shivery and shakey? I seem to recall reading somewhere that the shivery-shakey thing is completely normal and nothing to worry about. I'd not sweat it.

I am glad I am not the only one. I don't remember movements like this in my last three pregnancies.

I am so glad I am not the only one! I couldn't think of the word seizure when I first posted this. But yes that is what it feels like and it isn't anywhere in particular. it is up by my ribs, down low, either side... where ever he want to.

You know, I just saw a video showing a fetus crying in the womb. And I remember my babies kind of spazzing when they cried because of being uncoordinated. I wonder if our babies are crying?

If you Google 'fetal shaking' you'll get all kinds of results... All of them saying it's just fine and normal. Yay!

Glad to read this thread! I get this too and was really starting to worry, I really don't remember it with the last three.
