Itchy rash on my toddlers legs behind knees and thighs

It's always been an area that he itches. But in the last week seems to be getting worse. I have been using no soap for baths for a while, just a little olive oil and coconut oil massages after baths. He is on a fish oil supplement and has been for at least a month now. This doesn't seem to be helping at all. It mostly was just in the crack behind his knee but has lately been spreading to his calves and thighs--behind mostly. Do I start to investigate food allergy possibilities? He still breastfeeds a lot so that would include me. Where to start?

Sounds eczema-ish to me. Behind the knees is common. I would start with elminating dairy or wheat first, whichever might be easiest. Ideally both and than you could re-introduce at a later time. Even better get him tested for sensitivities if you can. Takes a lot of the guess work out

Olive oil gives my son a rash.

He also has food allergies and intolerances too.
