Hi everyone,
My 4yo is cringing and crying tonight with each swallow.
This sore throat seemed to come on in the blink of an eye, and I've never seen her have this amount of pain from a sore throat. Gave her a dose of Tylenol and thankfully she managed to get to sleep but I am trying to be proactive and come up with some ideas in case she wakes in the middle of the night in pain again.
Any suggestions to help soothe the throat tonight? (meaning I can't run to the health food store right now to pick up homeopathics or whatnot)
I am going to make Jello and popsicles. I know honey can coat the throat but I have tried giving her honey in the past (on a spoon) and she refuses it. I have also tried cooled tea before and she won't have any of that either.
I came across an online page that suggested, of all things, a cottage cheese compress! (Has anyone ever heard of such a thing?? Sounds ridiculous to me, but at the same time, it can't possibly hurt anything so it is worth a try!!)
Thanks in advance!
