I'm really excited about the gifts I'm making for Xmas

Since my twins were born in September and don't really need anything this year, I decided to make them memory boxes. That way, we'll have something to hold all the holiday cards they get from relatives and friends, the hats they wore in the hospital, various pictures, and other little things they will accumulate over the years.

The purple and pink one is going to be decorated with butterflies and flowers, and the blue/green one is going to be decorated with flip flops and beachy stuff (we live in Florida).

I'm so excited about them because it's something we'll have for a long time and they will get to add to them over the years, and it gives me something to work on throughout the holiday season.

What do you think??

Those are wonderful! Did you build the boxes? I really need one of those for my youngest!

No, I did not build the boxes. I bought them from Michael's Arts & Crafts, then sanded the wood to make it smooth, and covered with acrylic paint.

So sweet, I should've done something like that for DS, now 10...  Those will make like so much easier!

No reason you can't make one for her now!!

Or! You can make her a decorated photo box and put a bunch of pictures in from her first 10 years, and let her add to it as she gets older with some of her favorite new pics.
