Could my 10 m/o be nightweaning herself already?

For the past couple of days, my 10 month old dd hasn't wanted to nurse to sleep. I put her to the breast once we're in bed (side lying) and she'll nurse for a couple of minutes, then pull away (and fight and resist if I try to hug her in). She then rolls over and talks or hums herself to sleep!

She has also started sleeping for about 8 hours at night. last night, we got to bed kind of late- but she slept for 8 hours, woke up to nurse, and went back to sleep for 4 more hours until my dd1 woke her up.

Could she be nightweaning herself? or is that totally unheard of?

I wouldn't even be questioning if I were you - lol. I'd just be happy. In seriousness, my almost 10 month old will sometimes not nurse to sleep and likes to rock a little instead when before she always had to nurse. I just take it as a sign she's not hungry. She still wakes a couple times a night though, if not alot more. It sounds like your LO might be nightweaning - congratulations!
