trying to help my 19yo sister. i have read so many inspiration books over the years, yet nothing great is coming to mind when i need it.
I'm not sure, but I'm interested in the replies.
How about A New Earth by Tolle? I also just started reading Loving What Is by Byron Katie and there are tools for self-reflection in there...I'll have to think of some more...I can't think of anything great off the top of my head either.
You know, I've never been a huge fan of anything that might be considered 'self-help', it's the cynic in me I'm afraid. But in saying that, I have one book that I have returned to again and again over the years and that's Clarissa Pinkola Estes 'Women Who Run With The Wolves'
This book has spoken to me on so many levels over the years I cannot begin to articulate how important it is to me when I'm experiencing rough periods.
Clarissa's audio tape 'Healing the Stone Child' and Gregory M Peck's 'The Road Less Travelled' did however help me move towards a reconciliation regarding my feelings towards my biological Mother.
