Baseline question

I started the Elimination diet on Monday following this food list: http://www.wholelifenutrition.net/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/phase1.pdf

My question is this - how do I know when DD has reached baseline?  I feel like an idiot but I don't know how a normal baby should react anymore - especially her eczema.  When she's at baseline, will all her redness be gone?  Will her legs still feel all bumpy?  They've felt like that since shortly after she was born, like she has goosebumps all the time all over her body.  I am hoping her itchies will be gone and her eyes will be less puffy and her nose less congested and stop tugging at her ears but if she reaches the point where at least all her red, itchy sores are all gone and she can sleep longer than thirty minutes without waking to itch, should I consider that baseline?

I dont have any advice, just wanted to add encouragement smile.gif  I am doing an elimination too, so I understand!

Quick question-why did you chose this list/site?  I hadnt ever seen it and just looked it over, seems very interesting!  Also, how old is your DD?  The "goosebumps" may be something called Keratosis, my 13 month old DD has them too.

Oh! I lost my signature. DD will be ten months old in a couple days.  I'll have to look up that keratosis, I haven't heard of that yet.  The dr said that was part of the eczema, the pimply feel, she gets that more on her back and her calves.  Her thighs and her tummy are always (almost always) inflamed though with red weals and a red raised rash. As for which ED to follow, this was the first one that came up when I did a web search, it seemed to be sound and it eliminated all the things I wanted to eliminate.  I am also eating a little salmon since I am breastfeeding (obviously) and the website said that its usually not an allergen but I will watch closely if she doesn't have any improvement.

Nevermind, after having salmon for the second day and again coming down with a sore, heavy dry throat, hard time swallowing, overall sudden fatigue and stomach bloating, I'm not having the salmon anymore.  Its amazing how food has been making me feel like crap for years and when I start to try and heal DD I am realizing that some foods bother me too. I just thought I would feel like crap all the time regardless.
