Other sources than milk?

Looking for a "something in a cup" for my 20month dd to begin the weaning process. She says, "Yuk!" to all forms of milk other than mine- including chocolate shakes! oops.gif She likes yogurt at times, but I'd love to give her something besides juice in a cup for those moments when I can redirect her from nursing... any thoughts? Thanks!

Does it have to be milk?  Could you give her water and a snack?  Sometimes a completely different alternative is easier to accept than a substitute smile.gif

For a long time, the only thing my daughter would drink out of a cup was water, does your dd like that?  I didn't want to give her juice and she would not touch milk of any kind.  We've found that she'll drink skim milk, but that's a recent discover and it's probably because it tastes more like water :)

DD is one that only drinks water out of a sippy. I tried juice one time and she refused to drink it. she will drink sips of lemonade or soda out of a straw (only a sip or two). we haven't tried other forms of milk because I don't see a need. neither DF or I are milk drinkers, so I don't really worry about her having some kind of milk, she has other forms of dairy, and eats all sorts of solids, so I don't think it's important for her to drink some kind of milk.
