Beginner Knitting book

I'm putting together a knitting basket for my oldest dd for Christmas.  Can anyone recommend a good book for beginners?  We have a couple local bookstores with a not so great selection of books (especially crafting ones) so I'll have to order online but I hate ordering when I can't see or know nothing about the book first.  She's 10 years old so I'll need something that will be easy to follow with lots of pictures if possible.

Thanks in advance!

I don't have any experience with kids knitting books... but I wanted to give you a link to a giveaway on a blog about one (I am not associated with this blog, just happen to see it this week).

Melanie Falick's Kids Knitting is great.

There is a Klutz kit with a book, yarn and needles for some simple projects. The book is fairly good and useful. If you are already picking out yarn and needles, you probably don't need the entire kit.

That looks like a pretty good book.  I think it may end up being the one I get for her.  I do already have a collection of yarns and needles for her so I don't really need a whole kit.  I wish I would have seen that first! LOL

Thanks for the blog link  Boatbaby.

I flipped through this one a few days ago and it was really great.  It goes through a few basics and then straight into easy projects for kids.  The photography was great in it too.

I really like the "first book of knitting for children": it has a lot of little animals a dolls to knit...
