how do i know the thrush is really gone?

Thread Starter

tomorrow is my last pill of diflucan (from a 2 week Rx). i will continue with oral GSE, GSE washes and probiotics for a couple of weeks. i haven't had any pain nursing or pumping for about a week.

every now and then i'll feel a slight twinge in my breast or a very slight itchy sensation in my nipple and i'm driving myself crazy about whether it's still thrush.

so, how did you know for sure your thrush was gone for real?

When I was nursing pain free, and my nipples weren't that bright orange/red raw color!  And the CONSTANT itiching was gone.

I continued with GSE AND 2 % miconazole for 2 weeks after I "thought" my thrush was gone also.

Good luck!

i have also been wondering if the thrush was 100%gone, but since ds2 no longer is popping on and off when he nurses, im going to assume that it is gone.
