Liquid folate for Down Syndrome prevention?

Anyone hear of liquid folate helping for down syndrome prevention?  I am 42 and trying to conceive our third child and am afraid of down syndrome due to my age....Anyone taking this supplement?

Any source of folic acid is supposed to reduce the risk of birth defects. If at an increased risk, talk to a pharmacist about the amount you could take - the amount in prenatal vitamins isn't enough. Never heard of liquid folate but imagine it is similar to any other folic acid supplement?
