Car activities?

What car activities can my soon to be 3yr old dd and my 4yr old ds do? We will be moving to GA after Christmas and I am wondering what kind of activities they can do to stay happy while driving 12i sh hours?  My family wants them to get the tag reader but I really don't want something like that.  Thanks:)

We have a little eye spy bag -- DD [who's 3] enjoys it. I think they make them in themes too!

We just did a 15 hour road trip (one day of 10 one day of 5). 3.5 year old dd really entertained herself for much of the trip. I had some Dover sticker books on hand for emergencies and some fun food items. Really she was quite entertained on the adventure...where as I was the one that was bored, .
