If so, I don't think I'll be able to participate anymore.   Everything is so cluttered and stuff everywhere.  I just want to read the threads peacefully and it's all so white and sterile.  It hurts my head and eyes.  I don't mind change, really I don't, but this all seems to be so geared toward advertising and media which is something I know a lot of us try to avoid.  I want to get the ad-free as I had previously, but I don't want to pay for it if the board is going to remain this way in total.  Help?

Hello!

Skins are currently in development. A lot of people have posted that they would like other colors so hopefully that is something we can offer soon.

As more content is added it may seem less intrusive. There are other things that can appear to the side like a tag cloud, wikis (which is member content) or WAHM ads.

It is more geared toward media but Mothering isn't just a board it is a business and does have to change and grow as the industry changes.

I am sorry if you do not like it but this is a very necessary change and it does add a lot of features that should be a lot of fun and interesting for all of us. We also have more features in development.

I am locking this to help keep me organized but please feel free to post if you have further questions. It is easiest if you post in the big thread but not mandatory.
