I had a big points day yesterday too. Wine in the evening bumped me up to 40 points so I dipped into my weeklies.

I had a great idea to go to chilis last night...but in order to save points I tried not to eat all day. It was a bad plan. By 3:00 I had a binge. I ate the rest of the dressing from Thanksgiving, about 3 chocolate chip cookie dough squares and about 4 cookies (don't plan to make cookies for a playdate when you're on a diet and starving yourself). I went ahead and had what I was planning to have for dinner too (which was already a lot). Total was 86 points yesterday, from 3 pm to 8 pm. I am so ashamed! I used all my weekly points and 6 activity points. I've been working out every day though getting 6-9 activity points. Back on track today, though I was scared to weigh this morning. I'll weigh tomorrow.

Don't be ashamed, micah_mae. You can do better today.

On days you know you're going to go out at night, eat more produce throughout the day (0 points!) to help yourself stay full. And for playdates, I plan healthy snacks that I can eat without feeling bad.

Just stay on track today!

Yeah that would have been the smart way to go about it, thanks. :)

There is no failure if you keep working the plan...only feedback. I know some days when I have eaten too much and just feel rotton I have to work really hard to remind myself this is a lifestyle and some days will have feedback that is harder to absorb than others. There is much success in picking yourself up and just getting back on with the plan. Congratulations. I am off to check to see if a December thread has been started. A new month and a new plan...and soon a New Year!

I'm sorry I haven't searched for a WW thread earlier. I've been on the program since October 1st. I've lost 10 lbs so far. I've really changed my eating habits and am happy with my results. I like that I can eat what I want and learned portion control. I am not fond of the new Points Plus program though. I've found myself hungry all of the time which I wasn't on the previous program and now that points values have increased I feel like, even though I have 29 points, I am always hungry. I was fortunate to find someone willing to give me their pre-points plus calculator. I am not sure I want to continue the new program but it's something I need to think about.

I had really been doing great with the Momentum program and the new program has had a bit of a learning curve because I have had to deal with the mental block of most foods being higher Points...even though they are calculated entirely differently it is just a mental hurdle for me. Free fruits and veggies has been good but also an adjustment too because I was in a good groove with the other program. I think I will do okay though and I think the science behind the changes is very solid so I plan to stick with it and figure it will be like old hat in a few months if I am consistant. I am not really eating any differently it is just different mentally for me. I do get 47 daily Points+ with the new plan (I had 36 with the old plan). On another WL board I am on someone shared their food journal. They had logged calories for their weekly meals and what the PP value was compared with the old P system. They estimated that each PP was 39/40 calories compared to each P roughly being 50...this was factoring in the new 'free' fruits and veggies meeting the DH guidelines. So while I know that it is all estimates I did some rough math with my old Points alllotment and my est. daily calories and my new PP allotment and daily calories needed to lose weight as a BF mom and it is roughly the same. It isn't too hard for me now but I think the value of the new program will be felt by me more as I get less Points when baby nurses less or starts solids so that I will be free to eat fruits and veggies to satisfaction and still be on Plan if I go over my Points+ in other ways.

I have also found that the suggestion in the new material on how to divide Points+ during the day for meals and snacks helps me to not use too few or too many at one time...but I will admit it still feels scary mentally.  I really don't want to fall off the wagon!
